
We live in a peaceful time. We have many opportunities to live our lives as we wish. Every person can study, get an education and choose a profession. We can rest without fear. We are proud of our country. All this was made possible thanks to the Great Victory of 1945, won by our front-line soldiers who fought selflessly during the harsh war years.
For three weeks, the entire school community actively participated in challenges, events and campaigns dedicated to this bright and important holiday.
Students recited war poems and shared stories about their relatives who fought on the front and worked on the home front. Eighth-grade students participated in the "Letter from the Front" national literary competition.
Teachers, students and alumni led and supported a "Songs of the War Years" marathon. Miras Astana International School and the Miras Atyrau kindergarten, the Arystan specialised lyceum and the Almaty International School joined us.
On 9 May at 10:00 a.m., teachers, students, staff and parents joined together online to sing songs of the war years. Modern technology allowed us to continue this fine tradition together.
With the support of the Parents' Association, a charity action was held to provide assistance to Great Patriotic War veterans. Thirty-seven veterans received material support. They all sent warm regards to our school community and expressed their gratitude.
